HPS Book Day

1st Mar 2019

On Friday we celebrated Book Day. Rev. Thompson reminded us that the Bible is made up of 66 little books. He told us that there are stories for all occasions and encouraged the children to read their Bible story books. It was fitting that several pupils had dressed up as Bible Story characters!

Pupils and staff dressed up as characters from books. Congratulations to everyone who dressed up- you all looked great!

Prizes were presented to pupils for the best costumes, for the best photographs/captions and to Literacy Star of the Week winners.

Thanks to all the parents who supported the Book Fair and who also helped their children with Literacy Week based homework this week. We are trying to encourage a love for reading in the pupils by offering them these experiences in school and to share in the learning partnership with you.
