We attended a special Eco Schools Green Flag Award ceremony at Hill of the O’Neill today. Not only did HPS receive the Green Flag award but were delighted to receive a surprise award of Biodiversity Champions for the Mid Ulster area. P5/6 worked on a Biodiversity Project as part of the Green Flag program this year but well done to all pupils and teachers in school who have helped support and develop our environmental work through planting, gardening, caring for birds and wildlife, litter picking, eating healthily and keeping physically active through sports and outdoor play. We plan to develop our biodiversity garden and Forest School area over the next couple of years as we work towards our next Green Flag.
