Harvest Thanksgiving Service

25th Oct 2019

Thank you to everyone who took the time to join us for our Harvest Service in St Anne's this morning.

We were all welcomed to our Harvest Service by School Councillors Aliyah and Adam. The P3 classes entertained us with a Harvest poem and P4 led us in a song. Cameron read Psalm 67, Ellie, Ugne, Ryan and Jacob led us in prayers which they had written themselves. Matthew, a P7 pupil, played the clarinet to accompany Mrs McAllister during a congregational hymn.

Mrs McWilliams and 3 pupils presented Mrs Kerr from the Reach Project with a cheque for £1000. Mrs Kerr explained more about the project and was delighted with the support from our school.

Special thanks to the Select Vestry of St Anne's for the use of the beautiful building for our Harvest Service. Rev. Hare spoke to the congregation about the importance of using our eyes, ears and heart to be good people and he used his friend Tom the scarecrow to help. We all enjoyed meeting Tom!

Mrs McWilliams took the opportunity to thank Archdeacon Forster for all his support to school during his 12.5 years in Dungannon. We wish him well as he prepares for his new role as Bishop of Derry and Raphoe.

School has now closed for the holidays and will reopen on Monday 4th November.
