Our Fantastic Trip to Armagh Museum!
Today we had an amazing adventure at Armagh Museum! We learned so much and had great fun from start to finish.
First, we found out about old toys and new toys. Some toys from the past were made from wood, metal or china, while many modern toys are made from plastic. It was really interesting to touch and compare the different materials.
One of our favourite activities was ordering teddy bears from oldest to youngest. The oldest bear was 61 years old - even older than our teachers!!!
We also got to play with lots of toys- some that children played with long ago and some that look more like the toys we have today. We loved seeing how toys have changed over time.
To finish off the day, we used a wooden peg to make our own toy. We could choose to make a plane or a doll. We were very creative and proud of our wonderful inventions!
It was a fantastic day of learning and a brilliant way to continue our toy topic. We can’t wait to learn even more! ππ§ΈβοΈ
