Primary 1 had a wonderful time making delicious pancakes! We began by talking about the ingredients we would need and discussing how to stay safe while working in the kitchen. The children helped to measure the ingredients carefully and mix them together to make the pancake batter.
Everyone enjoyed watching as the batter was poured into the pan and turned into real pancakes. We talked about how the mixture changed when it was heated and used our senses to observe the cooking process.
The best part was choosing our toppings! The children were excited to add their favourite toppings and then enjoy eating the pancakes they had helped to make.
This fun activity helped us practise important skills such as listening carefully, following instructions, measuring, and taking turns. The children did a fantastic job and showed great enthusiasm throughout.
