We have been learning about real-life superheroes such as doctors, nurses, firefighters and police officers.
Now we are beginning to explore a different kind of hero - storybook heroes! We loved listening to the crazy adventure of Supertato and finding out how he saved the vegetables from the mischievous Evil Pea.
After enjoying the story, we became designers and creators ourselves. We worked together to talk about how we would make our very own Supertato. As a class, we carefully drew visual instructions on the board to remind us of each step. This helped us to think about the correct order and decide what we needed to do first, next and last.
We then followed the instructions to create our own fantastic Supertato characters. Everyone showed excellent listening skills and great concentration. Miss Ewing was very impressed with how well the children followed each step and checked their work carefully to make sure they had not missed anything out.
We can’t wait to see what Supertato does next!
