Our Primary 1 class had a wonderful time baking Valentine’s heart biscuits together. We carefully measured all of our ingredients and talked about why measuring is important when baking. At one point we accidentally added too much flour, so we worked together to figure out how much we needed to take out - great problem solving and maths skills in action!
While the biscuits were baking, we checked them every 5 minutes to make sure they didn’t burn. This helped us learn about time and staying safe in the kitchen.
Once they were cooled, we decorated our biscuits with icing and lots of sprinkles - yum! We were so proud of our finished Valentine’s treats.
