P3 have started our brand new topic 'Marvellous Minibeasts'. Our new ABL activities include: painting butterflies (examining their symmetrical patterns), creating our own new minibeasts using play dough and a selection of other materials, completing a STEM challenge by designing and constructing our own spider webs using paper cups, string and tape to see how many bugs we could hold, researching minibeasts through examining a selection of books and completing fact files, playing Minibeast Bingo and making minibeasts from clay, using seeds, rice and pulses for decoration. We have also been using the iPads to develop our numeracy and literacy skills through Mathseeds and Reading Eggs.
