Today some of the P4 children enjoyed their very first Forest School session. Everyone was excited to explore the outdoor space and begin learning in nature.
We started by learning about the rules and boundaries, making sure we know how to keep ourselves safe while having fun outdoors.
Next, we discovered more about some of the animals that live in our local area and talked about their habitats. The children were full of ideas and enjoyed sharing what they already knew.
Finally, we used natural materials such as leaves, sticks, stones, and flowers to create our very own nature faces. As part of this, we talked about how each face was different, just like each of us. It was a lovely reminder that we are all unique and special in our own way.
It was a fantastic start to Forest School, and we are already looking forward to our next session outdoors. 🌳✨
