Howard Primary School & Nursery Unit, Dungannon

P7 Final Assembly

23rd Jun 2025

This afternoon, our Primary 7 pupils took centre stage as they entertained staff, family, and friends during their final assembly at Howard Primary School. The pupils marked the occasion with a heartfelt song, video about their future aspirations and a moving poem, showcasing their talents and making lasting memories.

We were delighted to welcome special guest Mr Gael Bigirimana, a member of the Dungannon Swifts Irish Cup winning squad. Known affectionately as "Bigi" to Swifts fans, he spoke to everyone, encouraging pupils to always work hard, believe in themselves, and remember that with determination, dreams really can come true. Bigi also had the pleasure of presenting the awards to this year’s recipients.

A special moment was reserved for Mrs Thompson, who was presented with a gift in recognition of her 17 years of dedicated service to Howard Primary School and Nursery Unit. Mrs Thompson presented each P7 pupil with their new school tie, symbolising their transition to the next chapter of their educational journey.

Congratulations to all the pupils who received awards this afternoon. Mrs McWilliams commended their achievements and reminded all pupils that each one of them has made a meaningful contribution to school life over the past seven years. She challenged them to embrace every opportunity at their new schools.

We wish our P7 pupils the very best as they begin this exciting new stage in their education this September.
