Prize Day 2019

26th Jun 2019

Today was a brilliant day! We had a wonderful morning at our Prize Day and Final Assembly for Primary 7. We were delighted to welcome Dr. Rory Best O.B.E. as our guest speaker.

Primary 1-3 pupils formed a guard of honour as Rory arrived at school. Our school choir performed World in Union and Ireland's Call. The P7 rugby players produced a drama specially written for the visit called, "Life is like rugby" and the P7 pupils all performed their version of "School on the hill." Daniel entertained everyone on the piano. (Videos of everything are below.)

  1. Rory as he prefers to be known was an inspiration to everyone who attended. He spoke from the heart and explained to everyone that in November he will be in the same position as P7, everything will be changing.

Rory took time to pose with prize winners and their parents.

This was a very special day for Howard Primary School and we are indebted to Rory for taking the time to come to speak to us and present the awards.

As our P7 pupils leave Howard Primary School today, we wish all the children every success for the future. As Rory told you, always do your best!
